Cardinals Battle Throughout Road Contest at Allegany

Cumberland, MD – The CCBC Catonsville women's soccer team showed determination and grit on the road Tuesday, October, 10th, 2025, continuing to compete hard through all 90 minutes in a challenging 8–0 matchup against Allegany College of Maryland.

Freshman forward Gianna Barracato led the Cardinals offensively, recording all five of the team's shots on goal and applying consistent pressure throughout the match. Barracato's effort in the attacking third created several close scoring opportunities against a tough Allegany defense.

Goalkeeper Kayla Cox put together a standout performance between the posts, facing a heavy offensive push from Allegany and tallying 16 saves over 84 minutes of play. Cox's composure and work rate kept the Cardinals in the game and anchored the defensive effort.

Despite the result, CCBC maintained strong team communication and resilience, particularly in the midfield, where Abigail Webb and Alexandra Wilson helped organize play and limit transitions. The Cardinals' focus and perseverance highlighted their continued development and teamwork.

CCBC Catonsville will look to build on the positives from this match as they prepare for the next stretch of conference play.
