Bio

Evans is in her first season as the Cardinals head women’s lacrosse coach.

She spent the last seven seasons as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Hood College and was just its fifth head coach in the program’s history.

In 2014, Evans’ last season at the helm, Hood started the season 4-0 for the first time in the program’s history and went 5-8 overall. The Blazers were 4-3 at home and outscored its opponents 71-29 in the team’s five victories.

Hood College also had its first All Conference women’s lacrosse player in 2007, under the tutelage of Evans.

Evans graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice and Law Administration, where she was also a four-year starter on defense and two-time team captain for women’s lacrosse.

During her time at Western Connecticut, the women’s lacrosse team advanced to the Little East Conference Tournament four consecutive years, and took third place in Evans’ senior season (2005).

The following year, Evans was the head junior varsity girl’s lacrosse coach at Mercy High School (Middletown, Conn.) and assisted with the varsity team.

In 2007, Evans earned her Master’s in criminal justice at American International College.
