The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals Women's Lacrosse team (1-4) picked up their first win of the season in five tries as they earned an exciting 13-12 overtime win at Niagara County Community College on a cold and blustery afternoon in Sanborn, NY. In a game that saw 4 ties and 3 lead changes the Lady Cardinals trailed 12-11 with just 90 seconds remaining when Shannon Drechsler scored to even things at 12 to force the overtime period. At the two minute mark of overtime, Paige Patti tucked a shot just under the crossbar for the 13-12 win. Catonsville was led by Shannon Drechsler with five goals, and goalie Alyssa Mckay had 11 saves for the win.
The Cardinals return to action on April 1 with a 5pm game vs Harford at CCBC Dundalk.
