The two teams went back and forth in the first half in a defensive slugfest as they combined for 78 rebounds and 24 steals in total. For the Cardinals, Tarshay Bell led the way once again, posting an impressive 24-point, 13 rebound double-double as the team's leading scorer. 3 of 5 starters ended with double digits, which helped the last quarter effort to pull past the Skipjacks. Keashiana Murphy bolstered the defensive performance with 5 steals of her own; on offense, the Lady Cardinals shot an efficient 45.6% from the floor and knocked down 16 crucial free throws to edge out Chesapeake College.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, Feb 17th at 5pm in their rescheduled matchup vs Anne Arundel Community College from January 23rd.
