Cardinals Compete with Grit in Road Matchup at Harford

Bel Air, MD – The CCBC Catonsville women's basketball team battled through a physical road contest Wednesday evening but fell 66–48 to Harford Community College at APG Federal Credit Union Arena.

The Cardinals came out strong and matched Harford punch for punch in the opening quarter, ending the first period tied at 14–14. CCBC remained within striking distance at halftime, trailing just 27–26, before Harford used a strong third-quarter surge to create separation.

Despite the final score, CCBC showed toughness and effort throughout the game, particularly on the glass. Sydney Oliver turned in a strong performance, pulling down 15 rebounds to go along with seven points, while Keashiana Murphy led the Cardinals in scoring with 13 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Anaiya Morrison contributed 11 points, and Makenzie Foreman provided energy off the bench, finishing with eight points, four steals, and a block. Defensively, the Cardinals forced 21 turnovers and recorded 11 steals, keeping pressure on Harford throughout the contest.

CCBC finished the game with 46 total rebounds, including 14 offensive boards, highlighting the team's persistence and effort in the paint. The Cardinals continued to compete until the final horn, showing resilience against a strong conference opponent.
