Catonsville, MD – April 28, 2026 – The Cardinals wrapped up their final regular season homestand by splitting a doubleheader against Cuyahoga Community College.
In Game 1, the Cardinals fell 9–5 after Cuyahoga jumped out to an early lead with a four-run first inning. The visitors stayed consistent at the plate, tallying 11 hits and maintaining control throughout the game. The Cardinals attempted a late comeback, putting up four runs in the fifth inning, but ultimately came up short.
The Lady Cardinals quickly responded in Game 2, turning things around with an 11–5 victory. Carrying energy from the opener, they came out aggressive, scoring seven runs across the first two innings to take command early. Ava Blum led the charge with three RBIs, while Gianna Guglielminetti added two of her own to fuel the offense.
Alana Watts delivered an outstanding performance across both games, going 6-for-7 at the plate with a home run and a walk, providing a consistent spark for the Cardinals' lineup.
With the regular season complete, the Cardinals now turn their focus to the postseason. They will face Howard Community College in the first round of the playoffs on May 1, looking to extend their season and build on their strong finish at home.
