Cardinals & Falcons Trade Offensive Performances in DH Split

Scranton PA, April 11th, 2026- CCBC Cardinals Softball would gather 19 hits between their doubleheader split with Lackawanna College (6-1, 12-0).

The Cardinals bats traveled well with them in game one as they would rack up 15 hits, with every starter recording at least one base hit. The Cardinals would put it together on both sides of the diamond recording zero errors, while getting a complete game from Emily Fagan who would allow just one run with eight strikeouts. Six Cardinals would have multi-hit games including Alana Watts who would open the scoring with an RBI triple in the first, and Renee Askin who would hit the only Cardinal homer of the day with a solo shot in the top of the fourth. Fagan and the Cardinals defense would keep Lackawanna scoreless in the final 6 innings for a 6-1 game 1 road win.

The Lackawanna offense would be tough to keep down in game two as they would respond to the game one loss with a big offensive performance of their own with 13 hits and 12 runs in a 5-inning mercy rule win. The Cardinals bats would run out of fire as they would record only four hits, while committing three errors defensively which proved costly and fueled the Lackawanna offense in this second contest. Makenzie Revere would get the win for the Falcons going all 5 innings and gathering 8 K's.

Game 1 saw the Cardinals sharp on both sides while Game 2 saw the Falcons respond resulting in back-to-back split doubleheaders against two talented teams in Monroe University and Lackawanna College (27-9). The Cardinals will get back to conference play in their next contest April 13th as they travel to Allegany College for a doubleheader at 3/5 PM.
