Five Softball Players Receive All-MD JUCO and Region XX Honors

Catonsville, MD- Five softball players are given all MD JUCO and Region XX honors.

Mackenzie Brooks: First Team All-Region XX; Second Team All-MD JUCO (OF)

Abigail Heagy: Second Team All-Region XX; First Team All-MD JUCO (INF)

Bryanna Hoskinson: Second Team All-MD JUCO (2x-P/INF)

Madison Miller: Honorable Mention All-MD JUCO (OF)

Felicity Voss: Second Team All-MD JUCO (2x-P/INF)

Brooks (pictured top right) proved to be quite the consistent hitter for the Lady Cardinals this season. She slashed .417/.447/.736 with an MD-JUCO leading 31 RBI's. Brooks also was second in the conference in homeruns with 5. Heagy (pictured top left) led MD-JUCO in batting average (.479) and homeruns (6). Heagy was one of the best hitters for the Cardinals and played an outstanding first base and she only committed 3 errors all season. Hoskinson (bottom middle) and Voss (bottom left) both made second team for two positions- pitcher and third base. Between the two of them, they had every game covered on the mound and the hot corner. Hoskinson was top-5 in MD JUCO in wins with 5 and pitched 12 complete games with 45 strikeouts. Voss pitched 8 complete games and total 37 strikeouts. Madison Miller (pictured top middle) was captain of the outfield in center. As quite an impressive hitter herself, she slashed .405/.451/.649 and brought in 25 RBI's. Miller would also total 3 homeruns on the year.
