Game 1: CCBC Catonsville 3 (6-14), Frederick 7 (4-6). WP – Rachel Benden (1-0), LP – Bryanna Hoskinson (3-7)
The Lady Cardinals have been struggling this season having a record under .500. They lost the first game against Frederick 3-7. They had trouble putting up runs on the board, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. They had 9 hits throughout the game, but it only amounted to 3 runs. Makenzie Brooks responsible for driving in all 3 runs. The main problem the Lady Cardinals had was on the defensive end of the diamond. They had 7 errors which proved to be costly because that's how Frederick got extra runs. If they limited those errors, then they would have had a better shot at winning this game.
Game 2: CCBC Catonsville 8 (6-15), Frederick 9 (5-6). WP – Rachel Benden (4-1), LP – Felicity Voss (2-7)
In the second game of the doubleheader, the Cardinals had a better game offensively and the runs on the board also reflected that. Britney Burke led the charge with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. They also played a way better game on the defensive end, only having one error. Frederick outhit the Cardinals with 16 hits to our 12. They only ended up winning by 1 but the Cardinals had a better performance on the offensive and defensive aspects in the second game.
