- Mercer put up 21 hits in the 5-inning contest
- Madison Miller once again proved to be a clutch hitter, putting up the only two runs of the game on an RBI single
- Miller and Abigail Heagy were able to steal a base to get themselves into scoring position
- Britney Burke went 2-3 at the plate, giving the Lady Cardinals a chance to put runs on the board
- Hoskinson did not give up any walks during the contest.
Game 2: Mercer 14 (3-0), CCBC Catonsville 0 (3-4). WP- Delaney Misier (1-0). LP- Felicity Voss (1-2).
- The Lady Cardinals committed 3 errors and gave up 14 hits in the 5-inning contest
- Makenzie Brooks stole a base
- Only 5 hits were put together for the Lady Cardinals
STANDOUT STATS:
- Hoskinson and Voss once again proved their endurance by pitching complete games
- Only 5 walks were given up on the day
- Overall, the defense played well
- Burke, Miller prove to be stable forces in the lineup
