Lady Cardinals win big hosting Harford

Catonsville, MD—The Lady Cardinals hosted Harford Community College this week in a double-header, coming out on top in a dominant performance.

 

Game 1: Harford Community College 1 (0-3), CCBC Catonsville 18 (2-2); WP—Bryanna Hoskinson (2-1), LP—Alyssa McLaughlin (0-2)

  • The Lady Cardinals started the game off in the bottom of the first by scoring two runs on hits from Madison Miller and Felicity Voss.
  • The flood gates opened in the bottom of the second inning with the Lady Cardinals adding an additional seven on the board. Madison Miller would bring home two runs on a double down the left field line and Makenzie Brooks would bring in three with a homerun.
  • The Lady Cardinals continued into the third unanswered, putting four more runs on the board.
  • Harford finally put a run on the board in the top of the fourth, but it was too little too late after a homerun from Miller, a double from Heagy, and singles from Sheikh and Hoskinson to add the last five runs to the board.

 

Game 2: Harford Community College 4 (0-4), CCBC Catonsville 9 (3-2); WP—Felicity Voss (1-1), LP—Rilee Fazenbaker (0-2)

  • The Lady Cardinals started off hot getting three quick outs on Harford, then proceeding to put three runs on the board in the bottom of the first.
  • In the bottom of the second, Madison Miller continued her streak, grabbing two more RBIs to total nine RBIs throughout the double-header. Miller would end the double-header with ten total RBIs.
  • Harford would start to show some life after bringing in a run in the second and third.
  • The Lady Cardinals wasted no time and answered back in the bottom of the fourth, scoring three more runs on singles by Miller and Hoskinson, as well as a sacrifice fly from Eiser.
  • The action would slow down in the following innings, with Harford putting two on the board and the Lady Cardinals putting one on the board between the fifth and seventh innings.
