Game 1: Catonsville 12, Anne Arundel 8. WP—Bryanna Hoskinson (1-0), LP—Jaclyn Nevins (0-1).
Anne Arundel led off the first game with a 2-0 lead by the end of the first inning. The Lady Cardinals picked up the pace in the third inning with three runs scored by Erin McGuire, Madison Miller, and Abigail Heagy on doubles from both Madison Miller and Makenzie Brooks.
Abigail Heagy was the story of the game. The sophomore first baseman started off her hot streak in the top of the fifth with a homerun for two RBIs. In the top of the sixth, Heagy singled for another RBI. With the Lady Cardinals leading by only one in the top of the eighth, Heagy hit a clutch second homerun with the bases loaded for four more RBIs, giving her a total of seven RBIs in the game. Heagy's second homerun meant it was too little too late for Anne Arundel.
