March- Marissa Heuer (Freshman, P)
Heuer dominated for the Lady Cardinals at both the plate and on the mound for the month of March. The Severna Park, MD native posted an 11-1 record with 80 strikeouts and just 20 walks in 72 innings pitched. Heuer struck-out nine against Grand Rapids, 11 strikeouts against Richard Bland, and a career high 12 strikeouts against Garrett. At the plate, Heuer put up an impressive .420/.524/.667 including three home-runs, eight doubles, and 31 RBI's.
April- Alexa Holderfield (Sophomore, OF/C)
The Glen Burnie, MD native had a stellar month of April for the Lady Cardinals. Holderfield, who splits her time between outfield and catcher, led the team to a 15-1 record for the month of April. She played in every game, racking up 22 hits in 47 at bats for a .468 average, seven doubles, seven home-runs, seven walks, 21 RBI's, and 23 runs scored. On April 25th, Holderfield pulled a hat-trick with three home-runs against Rowan College in the first game of the doubleheader. (She would go 4-4 that game). The first doubleheader of April really set the tone for Holderfield's success. On April 3rd at Harford she went 5-6 with three doubles, two home-runs, six RBI's, one walk, and four runs scored.
