CCBC Catonsville Names Karmo Bolay Interim Head Coach of Men’s Soccer Program
Catonsville, MD — CCBC Catonsville Athletics is proud to announce the appointment of Karmo Bolay as Interim Head Coach of the Men's Soccer program, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the Cardinals.
Coach Bolay has served as an assistant men's soccer coach at CCBC Catonsville for the past five years, during which time he helped guide the Cardinals to three playoff appearances. He brings a strong depth of knowledge and understanding of the program. Bolay began his coaching career in 2012 as an assistant coach with CSSM Soccer Academy, quickly establishing himself as a respected leader and developer of talent. His résumé includes serving as Vice President of IFK Maryland Soccer Club and Pro-Academy, Director of the CSSM Soccer Junior Academy, Head Coach of CSSM Academy U13 Boys, Glen Burnie High School JV Boys' Head Coach, and Assistant Coach for the varsity program. Currently, he is the Coaching Director of the IFK Maryland Youth Academy and Head Coach for multiple youth teams, including the U19 boys.
A passionate advocate for player development, Coach Bolay is known for fostering a culture rooted in discipline, passion, and a love for the game. He holds USSF F, E, and D licenses, a UEFA C Diploma, and multiple high school coaching certifications, with his USSF C license currently in progress.
Coach Bolay brings more than 14 years of competitive playing experience to the role, having competed at the varsity high school, elite travel club, and NCAA/NJCAA collegiate levels. His playing career also includes time at the professional level, signing with IFK Maryland in the American Soccer League (2015) and competing internationally in Umeå, Sweden during the 2015 and 2017 seasons.
