Arnold, MD – It was a tough outing for the CCBC Cardinals yesterday, ending in a 5-0 loss against the AACC Riverhawks.
The first half saw the Cardinals holding their ground, and the score remained even until the Riverhawks broke through with their first goal, scored by Kevin Carter assisted by CJ Santos. That goal gave AACC the edge heading into halftime.
In the second half the Riverhawks found their rhythm, adding 4 more goals to seal their win. Kevin Carter would score his second goal of the evening unassisted. Not long after, CJ Santos, assisted by Aydan Simms, netted the 3rd goal. Aydan Simms then returned to score the 4th goal assisted by Shane DePaulo. And despite the 11 saves out of the16 shots on goal for our goalkeeper, Atendem Fuamazah, the Riverhawks struck once more with their final goal from Shane DePaulo, assisted by Cheik Kangoute, winning the game.
The CCBC Cardinals will take on our friends, the CCBC Knights, right here on our home turf in Catonsville. Let's hope our Cardinals keep their heads high and spirits strong as they fight for the win. Game is set for 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
