Catonsville Md, Feb 4, 2026 – The CCBC Cardinals' Men's Basketball Team goes down to the wire as they defeat TPLS in their second matchup of the season.
3 of 5 starters ended the game in double digits. Kamren Hayes continued his impressive season as the highest scorer with 28 points. Hayes is currently averaging 20 points per game as the Cardinals continue to look for consistency down the stretch. The Cardinals opened the game on a 14-4 run and stayed ahead until the third quarter when TPLS brought the game back within 2 points late in the fourth quarter. A few forced turnovers and clutch buckets by Alpha Thiam sealed the 68-64 win, their second straight and eight of the season. Catonsville's defense held the Lions to only 4-20 (20%) from beyond the arch and forced 16 total turnovers. Yassir Supreme was the 3rd leading scorer, posting a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points. TPLS was outrebounded by Catonsville 38-31, which was the deciding factor in the Cardinals' win on Wednesday night.
