Cardinals fall shorthanded to Anne Arundel CC

Catonsville MD, Jan 23, 2026- CCBC Men's Basketball returned home shorthanded after a 4-game road trip and dropped a three-point conference matchup to Anne Arundel CC 72-69.

The Cardinals got out to a good start in this one winning the first half and building their largest lead to 14. Jaden French led the Cardinals in scoring (21 points), while Khalil Montgomery (15 points) joined in double figures. with David McKay Samuels and Yassir Supreme (11 points each) adding double doubles to their tally. Anne Arundel however was able to take advantage of their depth as they would storm back in the 2nd half and get the three-point win. Ryan Stacy led the Riverhawks with 27 points, shooting 75% from the field. Zamar Jones would hit the go ahead three with 50 seconds left to take the final of three lead changes over the course of the last three minutes

This was a tough loss for the Cardinals as they fall to 2-7 in conference play and the Riverhawks improve to 2-6. The Cardinals will stay home as they look to bounce back Wednesday Jan 28th against WVU Potomac State College.
