Cumberland, MD-January 10th 2026- CCBC Cardinals Men's Basketball dropped their seventh straight road contest of the season in a conference loss to the Allegany College Trojans, 89-73.
The Trojans led an efficient offensive attack shooting 48 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3. Jaylen Brown and Darrien Ponder were the leading scorers of the game with 23 and 20 respectively. CCBC was led in scoring by Yassir Supreme with 20 points, while also adding 10 rebounds for another double-double. Kamren Hayes also added in 17 points while shooting better than 50 percent from the field. The Cardinals were unable to match the Trojans in threes only shooting 22 percent from behind the arc. There would only be one lead change in the contest as the Trojans would take the lead at the 14:16 mark in the first half and not relinquish it. The largest lead would get up to 22 but the Cardinals would cut it back down to 7 with 7 minutes to go before Allegany's last run to pull away.
The Cardinals will continue to search for their first road victory of the season as they travel to Harford Community College (8-10) on Wednesday Jan 14th in another conference matchup.
