Cardinals Finish Strong in 73–61 Win Over Hagerstown
Catonsville, MD – The CCBC Catonsville men's basketball team delivered a balanced offensive performance and locked in defensively down the stretch to secure a 73–61 win over Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals set the tone early, shooting efficiently in the first half and taking a 37–32 lead into halftime. CCBC continued to build momentum in the second half, outscoring Hagerstown 36–29 to seal the victory.
Jaden French led all scorers with 18 points, adding five assists while shooting an efficient 6-for-9 from the field. Yassir Supreme posted an all-around performance with 16 points, eight rebounds, and eight steals, anchoring the Cardinals on both ends of the floor.
CCBC's depth proved to be a difference-maker, as Kamren Hayes and DJ Thomas each chipped in 11 points, while Messiah Anderson and David McKay-Samuels controlled the paint defensively with a combined four blocks.
The Cardinals won the battle on the glass, outrebounding Hagerstown 37–32, and forced 22 turnovers, turning defensive pressure into scoring opportunities. CCBC also knocked down 13 free throws and shared the ball effectively, finishing with 15 assists.
Hagerstown was paced by Teajan Silva (13 points) and Dakari Enworom and Josh Summers, who each scored 12 points, but the Cardinals' defense limited the Hawks' shooting to 38.6 percent.
With the win, CCBC Catonsville improves to 5–9 overall and continues to build confidence as conference play progresses.
