Cardinals Drop Conference Matchup with Frederick

December 17th 2025- The CCBC Men's Basketball team could not capitalize off of their last win and drop a tough conference matchup against Frederick Community College 83-66.

The two teams were in a highly intense first half that included nine lead changes and would end with a Frederck five-point lead. Kamren Hayes and Yassir Supreme would lead the Cardinals with 17 points each and Supreme would also add in a contest high 19 rebounds. The second half is when Frederick would pull away in the second half where they would control the lead for all 20 minutes.

Kylan Johnson would have a game high 26 points getting to the line 19 times and converting 16 of those attempts. Gabriel Jones put in 22 points for Frederick with a game high 4 threes. The Cardinals would win many of the hustle stats, outrebounding Frederick by 10 and forcing them into three more turnovers than they committed. Frederick's shooting would be the separator as they were more efficient than the Cardinals from the three point line as well as the free throw line.

Frederick will improve to 7-5 on the season with a 5-4 conference record, while CCBC drops to 3-9 and 0-3 in conference play, but get the opportunity to close out the year with a win in conference against Westmoreland County CC.
