Cardinals Show Offensive Firepower Despite Road Setback at Montgomery
Rockville, Md. – November 25, 2025 – The CCBC Catonsville men's basketball team put forth one of its strongest offensive efforts of the season, but it wasn't enough to overcome Montgomery College in a 97-85 road loss on Tuesday night. The Cardinals shot an impressive 55.4% from the field and battled through multiple scoring runs, but Montgomery's depth and paint dominance ultimately proved the difference.
The Cardinals came out firing in the first half, shooting 50% from the floor and keeping pace with the Raptors behind standout guard play. Kameran Hayes delivered a team-high 31 points on 11-of-21 shooting while grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing 4 assists. William Dscheidls added 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Yassir Supreme contributed 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists while providing much-needed inside scoring.
Montgomery took control late in the first half behind a dominant performance from Ian Pascal, who posted 28 points and 9 rebounds, and Christopher Levy, who added 20 points and 5 assists. The Raptors' ability to convert second-chance opportunities and push the tempo allowed them to outscore the Cardinals 51–47 in the second half while shooting 48.1% for the game.
CCBC Catonsville remained competitive throughout, with Jaden French scoring 12 points and Messiah Anderson adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. The Cardinals also shot well from the line, finishing 17-of-31, and recorded 22 assists on 36 made field goals—showing strong ball movement and offensive cohesion despite the loss.
With the setback, CCBC Catonsville falls to 2–7 overall and 0–2 in MD JUCO play, but the team's growth and improved offensive execution offer optimism heading into their next matchup. The Cardinals will look to build on their efficient shooting performance as they continue a challenging stretch of conference play.
