Despite Six XBH in Two Games, Cards' Drop Doubleheader to Owls

Largo MD, April 11th, 2026- CCBC Catonsville dropped their Saturday doubleheader to Prince Georges Community College in a close game one 7-5, and 10-0 in game two.

The Cardinals trip to Prince Georges featured a close game one with the owls which saw the Cardinals almost rally to tie in the top of the seventh. Four of the six Cardinal hits would be extra base hits by Kaiden Williams, Lucas Livingston, Yamil Santiago, and Wyatt Bickers. Damir Simon would open up the scoring with an RBI in the second, followed by a Kaiden Williams double to take a 2-0 lead. The Owls would bounce back with 3 runs in the bottom half of the second and follow with two more in the third. The Cardinals would then be held scoreless until the seventh where their three runs would not be enough to mount a comeback, falling 7-5.

Game Two would see the Owls take control from the opening inning with 3 runs, followed by 1 run in the second inning, and 6 in the third to have a 10 run lead and carry that to a 5 inning mercy rule. Yamil Santiago would capture another extra base hit in game two, and Skylar Jersey would continue his great season at the plate with a double.

The Cardinals will continue their weekend road trip with a 4/12 doubleheader at WVU Potomac State.
