Cardinals Explode for 35 Runs in Sweep Over Dundalk

Dundalk, MD -- CCBC Catonsville delivered an offensive showcase in its doubleheader against CCBC Dundalk on April 1, sweeping the Lions with dominant performances in both games. 

The Cardinals opened the day with a 12-0 shutout victory, capitalizing early with steady scoring across multiple innings. Skyler Jersey led the offense with three RBI, while Nick Midili, Hunter Anderson, and Isiah Rivera-Sanchez added key contributions at the plate. On the mound, Chance Griffin was in control from start to finish, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just five hits to secure the win.

The momentum only grew stronger in Game 2, as the Cardinals erupted for a 23-6 victory, powered by an explosive 13-run inning that broke the game wide open. Skyler Jersey once again led the charge with four RBI, while A.J. Perry delivered a standout performance with a home run and three RBI. Yamil Santiago, John Moreno, and Adrian Hernandez also drove in runs as CCBC's lineup overwhelmed Dundalk pitching, finishing with 18 hits on the game.

On the mound, the Cardinals used a combined effort from A.J. Bender and Cam Sisson, with Sisson earning the win in relief. Despite Dundalk putting runs on the board in Game 2, CCBC maintained control behind its offensive firepower. Across both games, the Cardinals totaled 35 runs and 23 hits, showcasing their depth, consistency, and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities in a commanding doubleheader sweep.
