Three Baseball Players Receive All-MD JUCO and Region XX Honors

Catonsville, MD- Three baseball players are given all MD JUCO and Region XX honors.

Dwayne Thomas: First Team All-Region XX; First Team All-MD JUCO (INF)

Travis Weaver: First Team All-Region XX; Second Team All-MD JUCO (P)

Alex Elliot: Honorable Mention All-Region XX (INF)

Thomas (pictured top right) was an offensive catalyst for the birds this year. Tied for most homeruns in MD JUCO (12), his explosive bat led the team to the #3 seed in the Regional Tournament. Not only was he powerful, but he was consistent with a .350 batting average and a phenomenal .433 on-base percentage. Weaver (pictured bottom left) was the Cardinals ace on the mound. Weaver pitched himself to a 4-1 record with 2 complete games. His ERA was fourth in MD-JUCO (3.45). Elliot (pictured top left) was a defensive and offensive threat. His .385 batting average and .429 on-base percentage were some of the highest in the conference. His outstanding plays at third base made him a great addition to the ball club.
