Freshman pitcher Amy Propst threw a Perfect Game on Thursday, April 26th against the Montgomery College Raptors on the last day of the regular season for the CCBC Lady Cardinals softball team. Propst struck out three batters on her way to her first Perfect Game in her college career. The strong effort by Propst helped the Lady Cardinals secure the #2 seed in the Region XX DII Softball tournament.
There are only two weeks left until the 2018 Region XX DII baseball tournament right here in Catonsville. The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals baseball team is in their final stretch of the regular season getting ready for the Regional tournament. The Cardinals took on Potomac State, Community College of Rhode Island, and Delaware Tech Community College winning three games as they prepare for the Regional tournament. The Cardinals play their last regular season home game on Tuesday before ending the regular season on the road this weekend.
The CCBC Lady Cardinals Softball team continued to dominate the Maryland JUCO conference and the NJCAA Region XX over the last week. The Ladies are at the top of the leaderboard in both their conference and their region. The Ladies close out their regular season schedule this week before starting their postseason schedule next week.
The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals Baseball team is getting ready to host the Region XX tournament next month. Over the last week, the Cardinals played four divisional opponents and won two of those games. They travel to Potomac State this week, before returning home to Community College of Rhode Island for four games this weekend.
Sunday, April 22 the Lady Cardinals Softball team had a beautiful day to celebrate our sophomore student athletes (Sarah Heagy, Stephanie Yarrish, Erin Muir, Kelly Krizmanich, and Alexis Sann) as they took on a talented alumni squad from years past that has more All-Conference, All-Region, All-American honors, and wins than you can easily count.
The CCBC Cardinals Mens’ Lacrosse team ended their 2018 season on Friday evening at home against Anne Arundel Community College. The Cardinals honored the two sophomores on the team with a pregame ceremony. The Cardinals also had a ceremony at halftime to honor the donors for their turf field at the Athletic Complex.
The CCBC Lady Cardinals Softball team continued to roll during Spring Break winning five games to improve their season record to 14-8. The ladies look to continue their hot streak with a pair of double headers on the road this week before returning home to play Cecil College in a double header on Saturday afternoon.
The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals baseball team played seven games during Spring Break as they get ready to play in the Region XX tournament next month. The Cardinals had a four game home stand to start the week, then travelled to Prince George’s Community College to win the lone road game of the break and ended the break with a doubleheader at home against Chesapeake College. The Cardinals end their home stand this Tuesday against Cecil College as they look to climb up the leaderboard in the Maryland JUCO conference.
The CCBC Catonsville Lady Cardinals softball team had their home opener on Friday March 16, against Norwich University for a doubleheader on a cold afternoon. They won both games to improve their record to 6-2 on the season.
The CCBC Cardinals baseball team played five games the week of March 15th and went 3-2. The Cardinals travelled to Anne Arundel County to play the AACC Riverhawks on Tuesday before returning home to play a pair of doubleheaders on the weekend against Orange Community College (Saturday) and College of Southern Maryland (Sunday).
The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals baseball team continued to roll, winning a series at home against the Tompkins Cortland Panthers last weekend. The Cardinals won both games of the double header on Saturday (10th) before dropping the getaway day game against the Panthers on Sunday.
The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals started its home part of the schedule March 3, 2018 and rattled off their first three wins of the season against the Sussex County Skylanders. The Cardinals needed extra innings to win their first home game of the season on Saturday, before sweeping the doubleheader on Sunday. After having a rough start to their season in Florida, the Cardinals were able to get on the right track as they begin conference play.

The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference announced First Team honors for Men's and Women's cross country based on the results from the Oct 21st Maryland JUCO Championships run in conjunction with the Region XX Championships held at Hagerstown Community College.
In just its second year of the program's re-emergence on the Catonsville campus, the Men's cross country team led by head coach Mark Pryor again can boast a National Championship qualifier. CCBC Cardinal freshman, Kris Purdie will be traveling to Iowa Central Community College this weekend to compete against the nation's best Junior College distance runners.

At last year's Region XX Cross Country Championships, CCBC Catonsville freshman Jamal Richards placed 1st overall and earned a trip to the NJCAA XC Div-I Championships. It was a defining moment in the program's first year after a 22-year absence. Richards went on to run a great race at the NJCAAs for someone who had no prior cross country experience. Head Coach Mark Pryor used that performance to inspire this year's team.
